A Light Exists in Spring
Text by Emily Dickinson (public domain)
Notes on the piece:
I grew up in the same little corner of the world as Dickinson, so I have always felt particularly connected to her poetry that deals with the local nature. In its most direct sense, I can understand, apprciate and know the particular light of which she speaks in this poem. Past this surface level, I feel the meta-physical statemetn of this poem offers the deep sense of personal awareness that Dickinson captures so magnificently. I can only hope I treated her words with dignity.
